What band dose the following information bring to mind?
It's time for another band, this one with a whole ton of history between the different band members who have played within several other bands - most of which were famous Super Bands.
For example, the Lead Guitarrist of this band also played together with the creator and band leader of Whitesnake.
As a matter of fact, the leader of this band was also the leader of yet another Superstar Band from the late 60s and the 70s.
At one time, the leader of this band was renowned as the World's best lead Guitarrist. He's one of Ace Freley's favorites too.
Having played guitar since the age of 5, he eventually developed severe back and shoulder problems from years and years of life with guitar shoulder straps. Doctors even told him that if he didn't stop playing, pinched nerves could render him unable to ever play again.
Part of the band history for this particular band actually spans across famous names such as Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Dio, The Ian Gillan Band, and Deep Purple.
This band experienced pretty bad luck with lead singers by going through about 4 of them within 5 to 7 years. That's pretty unheard of.
Ronnie James Dio got his big breakthrough with these guys.
Many others were influenced by this band as well. For example, the leader of this band is also a direct influence and favorite for one of the guitarrists from Guns 'n' Roses.
Although this band released apx. 9 albums along with live tours throughout the World, their success was ultimately cut short as the members dispersed - only later on for some of them to reform one of the World's most famous bands from the 70s that had split up 10 years earlier.
The first album debut of this reformed band - Perfect Strangers
The second album release, after the band had reformed, was entitled - House of the Blue Light. Good - but not as good as the previous release.
Yes, those albums are from Deep Purple - but that is not the band that we're looking for. So who is this band that has all of this history between some of its former members?
